Hi All!
What an exciting year it has been. From graduating West Point to being afforded the opportunity through Rotary to study for a year in Scotland, 2017 has been an amazing year. I hope everyone had a great holiday period and was able to spend some quality time with friends and family. I was fortunate enough to have my family come visit me in Scotland over the past week for Christmas and New Years. I hope you enjoy some of the photos posted of us. It was a blast touring Edinburgh and some of the Highlands with them. Also, we were able to go to the Edinburgh Hogmanay(Scottish New Year) festival together. I strongly recommend it if you ever have the chance. People of all ages from all over were on the streets together singing and dancing and watching performances from local artists.
In other news, I have finished my first semester of graduate school! If you were wondering why I had fallen off the face of the earth between late November and mid December, finals here are worth 80% of your grade and require A LOT of studying. After I finished finals, I did get the chance to take the train to London for two days and had a great time seeing all of the sites. I even got to ride the London Eye, the really big Ferris Wheel on the River Thames. If you dislike heights as much as I do, I do not recommend it, but you do get some really cool views! I'm extremely excited to get started with my second semester here and back to work. School has been a lot of work, but studying and learning with some really bright and motivated individuals has been fascinating.
As always please reach out to me with any questions, comments, or suggestions on places to go see! I'm trying to see as much as possible before I return to the Army for five years!
Happy New Year from the Farr Family!
